resolutions written on note

Steve Hanson

We are winding up 2024 here at Eye On Dunn County, and the new year will bring some changes. Our resolution for the year is to continue to work on improving the local news situation and to bring you more information that is useful to citizens in Dunn County. We will be having more different writers and viewpoints on the site. Look forward to more regular columns and more local news.

We will carry much less national news as our experimental arrangement with the Associated Press ends tonight. We thank AP, LION Publishers, and the Knight Foundation for all of their support through this election cycle.

We will have a ribbon-cutting ceremony with the Chamber of Commerce on Jan 15. We will bring you more information on that soon, but the gist of it is that we want to use this as an opportunity to talk to members of the business community about how we can better serve the information needs of Dunn County. It is a public meeting so if you want to have an opportunity to talk seriously about the state of news in the Chippewa Valley, you are welcome to come.

We look forward to a productive new year and a great collaborative 2025. Join us, and if the spirit moves you, please consider becoming a member to support local news. Things are looking up in that area, and we hope the news climate will continue to improve in the upcoming year.

Have a safe and happy New Year.
