The Eau Claire City-County Health Department is seeking assistance in locating a dog that bit a 10-year-old girl, Tuesday, September 15th, 2020, at approximately 6:30 p.m. The bite occurred at the entrance the tunnel of Birch Street and Hastings Way (near the old YMCA tennis building) in Eau Claire, WI. 

The person walking the dog was described as a young female with blonde hair, brown eyes, wearing black pants and a white t-shirt. The dog was described to be a brown and white, possible basset hound type breed. The dog is estimated to be approximately 30 pounds. A smaller white dog was also with the young female and dog involved in the incident.

The health and rabies status of these dogs needs to be determined. If anyone has information about these animals they should contact the Eau Claire Communications Center at 715-839-4972.
