Save The Hills Alliance held its annual meeting on Oct. 21, 2017 at the Marten Community Center in Mondovi. The theme of the meeting was Effective Communication and Civic Engagement: Strategies, Techniques & Importance. There were two speakers at the meeting. Ken is a long-term progressive Democrat and has served on the Governor's Dairy Task Force, the La Crescent Town Board, and in 2006 was elected to a tem in the Minnesota Legislature.  Ken's presentation We Need to Think Faster, Smarter, and Bigger was well received. H spoke on techniques for better communications, particularly including the use of video to fight frac sand mining and to be heard on other issues.

The end of the meeting consisted of reports from grantees from Save The Hills for 2017. Wis.Community is one of the recipients of a Save The Hills grant.
