Today Governor Evers announced a new committee to expand broadband availability in the state. He also covered other developments in economic recovery in the state from the pandemic. He reiterated that economic recovery in the state largely depends on controlling the growth of the pandemic, and that we are now seeing record increases in cases, particularly in the past week.
Governor Evers again emphasized that if schools are to open successfully in the fall the community spread of this pandemic needs to be controlled, though he is "still optimistic" that schools can open safely by early September.
