Remember and reflect on the American World War II POW experiences in the Pacific Theater 80 years after the end of World War II. Presenters Todd Johnson and John Duresky cover the Japanese invasion of the Phillipines that resulted in an American surrender on April 8, 1942. What followed was the Bataan Death March, imprisonment in the Philippines, transfer of prisoners aboard Hell Ships to POW camps scattered across Japan, and liberation following war's end in August 1945.

This event is free and made possible with funding from museum members, City of Eau Claire City, and Eau Claire County. Register in advance to secure seat.
