The art of suminagashi (Japanese paper marbling), dates back to the Heian period of Japan (794-1185) and is the precursor of all other marbling techniques. Learn to marble paper with this technique of floating ink on water. Take home sheets of paper decorated with suminagashi for use in bookbinding and other paper arts.
