UUC is co-hosting a Trans Day of Rememberance service with Lake Street Methodist Church for the first time. This day was was aside annually to memorialize those who were killed in the past year due to anti-transgender hatred or prejudice.
This solemn occasion is a time to:
● Remember and honor the transgender individuals who have been murdered as a result of transphobia.
● Reflect on the violence and discrimination the transgender community continues to face.
● Witness in solidarity and celebrate the lives of all transgender and gender non-conforming people.
