Press release

The Punchbowl needs your help! Several years ago, heavy rains uncovered large chunks of concrete in the creek. Last fall, Xcel Energy Wisconsin employees broke up the concrete with jackhammers as part of their Day of Service  Now, we have a pile of various sized pieces of concrete that are piled down by the creek. Volunteers are needed to carry chunks of concrete up the stairs to the parking lot for disposal.

The Town of Menomonie has generously stepped up to help Landmark Conservancy with the concrete disposal and will have a front loader parked in the parking lot Monday, April 21 through Thursday April 24- that's during Earth Week!

Here's where you come in:

Visit the Punchbowl at your convenience during Earth Week.

Carry 1 piece or several up the stairs to the parking lot. Bring gloves and footwear that can get wet/muddy.

FEEL GOOD about making Menomonie’s favorite natural area a little more natural!

Snap a photo and tag the Devils Punchbowl Facebook page on social media.

We need to take advantage of the Town's willingness to help us with disposal and our hope is that TOGETHER we can complete this effort by the end of day Thursday, April 24th! Will you help us? Bring a friend or your kids, or go by yourself for a little workout up and down the stairs! Please SHARE this post to help spread the word.
