The Menomonie Library and the Chamber of Commerce of the Menomonie Area held a ribbon-cutting to commemorate the opening of the new outdoor plaza. The ceremony took place on Sept. 18, 2025.

The plaza is an excellent addition to the library and is already being heavily used by the community. It will also be the new home for Music Over Menomonin next year.

The plaza is the first phase of the library's Outdoor Space Project. The project has been made possible by contributions from  Joan Polasky, a Vibrant Spaces grant, a grant from the city using ARPA funds, and a $100,000 grant from the Mayo Foundation. This is a very ambitious project and will genuinely enhance the quality of life for area residents.

We'll meet you on the plaza!
