At approximately 8:37 PM this morning Menomonie Police, Fire, and Streets Department responded to a call from a base jumper who had attempted to jump from a cell phone tower and had become caught in the guy wires. The tower belongs to Charter Communications and is located at 1020 Meadow Hill Drive. He had attempted to jump from the 300 foot tower and was caught on the wire approximately fifty feet above the ground.

After getting stuck he called 911 and was rescued at 9:34 AM and was transferred to Mayo Menomonie where he was treated and released.  Mason D. Barth, 20, was arrested for criminal trespass on property.
