The state Aseembly is currently in session. Governor Evers has called a special session to consider gun safety issues. It is expected that Republican leadership will simply gavel that special session in and then gavel out immediately. This should happen some time after 2 PM. Governor Evers is still hopeful that the Assembly will actually discuss the bills under consideration to force universal background checks and to adopt a Red Flag law.
They are still in regular session and are starting to consider overriding some of the governor's vetoes. Gordon Hintz is currently objecting to not going into the special session called for by the governor. This was greated by a strong response from the gallery.
