10:15 PM - The Eau Claire Police Department has advised that the snowplows have been taken off of the streets for the time being and that travel is not advised. A semi is blocking the road Northeast of Brackett at the intersection of County Road J and Lincoln Town Line Road. This semi cannot be removed currently and the road will remain blocked for the time being.
Temperatures are dropping and the snow currently falling is much lighter and fluffier, causing potential issues of blowing and drifting snow.

According to social media posts, road conditions in the Chippewa Valley are deteriorating quickly as heavy, wet snow is starting to fall much more quickly. Visibility is deteriorating in the area, and winds are going to become an issue as the afternoon continues. Snow will continue to fall, at times very heavily, through midnight. There have been small numbers of closures and cancellations, though that is likely to change for evening events. WEAU is a good resource for closings and cancellations.

Update from Eau Claire Roads Department:
Crews continue working to keep main arterial routes clear of snow & ice. All side roads are very snow packed & slippery! Full residential plowing will start overnight once the storm has passed. Please plan to park on the ODD side of the street overnight so we can plow tomorrow.
