The city of Menomonie is working on a 20-year housing plan. The goal of this plan is to increase the amount of affordable housing in the area. Affordable housing is defined as housing that can be rented by families making 60% of the median income in the are, or purchased by families making 120% of the median income.
A series of meetings is scheduled to help to define the plan. The first meeting was held last week on Jan. 6. Another meeting will be held tonight at 6:30 PM which is a panel discussion regarding housing needs. Panelists will include:

Jody Carr, Dairy State Bank
Bruce King, Realtors Assoc.
Dave Nelson, Vets Plus
Heidi Hooten, Stepping Stones, and Health Dunn Right's Housing Action Team
