The federal tax filing deadline was moved back to July 15 from April 15 yesterday. Wisconsin Department of Revenue officials announced today that the Wisconsin tax filing deadline would also be moved to July 15 without penalty or interest for filing late. This is different than the normal request for an extended deadline, which allows late filing but will charge penalty and interest for any additional tax owed. Filings for estimated income tax are still due on April 15 as normal.
