Facebook announced yesterday that they have provided emergency grants to over 200 local newsrooms in the United States to help them cover losses due to the COVID-19 situation and to expand coverage of the pandemic. WisCommunity was one of over 2000 applicants in the grant competition, which awarded money to 144 local newsrooms in general, and 59 newsrooms in the Facebook Accelerator Program. Sadly we were not successful in this grant application but we would like to congratulate the winners in Wisconsin, particularly Volume One in Eau Claire. Wisconsin grantees were:
