The Micon Cinemas have announced that the Downtown Budget Theater in Eau Claire will open this Friday, June 12. Since there currently are no new films available due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, the theater will be showing older movies, and at a ticket price of $3. This week's films are Forrest Gump, Midway, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and the original Superman (1978) film. The theater is requesting that you purchase tickets online at their website. Note that their website seems to currently be having some difficulty and you might need to cache clear the pages to have them display (normally click on refresh while holding down the shift key on your keyboard.)
Tentatively the local chain is hoping to open their multiplex theater in Eau Claire on June 18.
