Today's Media Briefing on the COVID-19 status in Wisconsin. In the briefing DHS announced that today's numbers are the highest number of new cases since the pandemic started. 1117 new positive tests were reported today, which is an unusually high number. This is partly because an extraordinary number of tests were performed in this 24-hour reporting period. 8.35% of the tests were positive, which is not as high as it has been for the past several days, but is still considerably higher than the numbers reported before the beginning of July, when the percentage suddenly started to trend upward. The updated graphs are available on this site now.
