State number updates on COVID-19
107 deaths were reported today in Wisconsin from COVID-19. It is entirely possible that part of that sudden spike was caused by a lag in reporting over the holiday weekend, but it is clear we are still suffering badly from the pandemic.
4078 new Coronavirus cases were reported today, which is well below the spikes we have been seeing lately but it is still immensely higher than what we have seen through most of the pandemic. The current rolling 7-day average is 3905. 277 new hospitalizations were reported today.
Locally, Dunn County reported 22 new infections, 1 new death, and 2 new hospitalizations.
Eau Claire County reported 64 new cases, 1 new death, and 2 new hospitalizations.
