DUNN COUNTY SEALCOAT OPERATIONS The Dunn County Highway Department is scheduled to perform sealcoat applications on various roadways starting July 10 – July 21. The roadways will be open to traffic during the application process with flagging operations & pilot vehicles being utilized for traffic control.A sealcoat application is a heated emulsion oil applied to the surface of the existing roadway and immediately covered with loose aggregate “chips”. Traffic is allowed to drive on the loose chips immediately after the application is completed. Loose chips are to be expected during the initial curing process for the first 24-48 hours.
