According to a press release this morning, the Menomonie Police Department responded to a call at approximately 9:46 AM on April 6 2024 about an un-manned boat going in circles on Lake Menomin. The report was near the Fish and Game boat landing, and the operator had fallen into the water.
The Police Department, Fire Department, Stout Police, and the Department of Natural Resources responded to the call. The boat operator was pulled to short and CPR was administered. The Fire Department transported him to the Mayo Hospital in Menomonie. He was then airlifted to Luther Hospital in Menomonie for further treatment.
The boat operator was alone in the boat and had been seen putting his boat in shortly before the emergency call was received. The boat was retrieved from the lake. The name of the patient has not been released in respect to the person's family and because there is an ongoing investigation.
Lots of irons in the fire. I've just signed a contract to run press releases from around the world on the site - this will bring in a small amount of money on an ongoing basis and may eventually blossom into a Wisconsin local news syndication network Exciting.
Also am having some discussions with the Listening Post Collective on putting in some really interesting community building tech.
Lastly still a little more progress on the obituaries front.
