Affordable housing is a significant issue in the Chippewa Valley and elsewhere, but successful efforts to provide lower-cost housing are happening. Among them is Hope Village in Chippewa Falls, which includes a mix of housing for people who struggle to afford a home of their own. At a May 14 event, the first in a three-part series titled Keys to Unlocking Affordable Housing, Hope Village leaders Mike Cohoon and Tiffany Wogahn will share how they have overcome challenges to build affordable housing and their plans to continue to do so. Come learn from their work. The event, sponsored by the JONAH Affordable Housing Task Force and the LE Phillips Memorial Public Library, is from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Riverview Room, room 306. The event is free and the public is encouraged to attend; no registration is required.
