Press release from the City of Menomonie:
Attention Wakanda Park users and neighbors!
Phase I of the Pine Avenue Project is nearly complete, and construction on Phase II is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 16. This next phase will require the closure of Pine Avenue between the Wakanda Elementary School driveway and Game Park Road. However, Pine Avenue will remain open from Wilson Street to the school driveway to maintain school and Waterpark access from the west.
A signed detour will be in place, routing traffic along Wilson Street, 21st Avenue, John Russell Road, and Game Park Road. The Maple Avenue entrance to Wakanda Park will remain open to allow access to Diamonds #1 and #2, but please be aware that it will become a dead end due to the Pine Avenue closure.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as the City of Menomonie continues work to improve this important roadway. If you have any questions, please contact Public Works at 715-232-2221 ext. 1020.
