Dunn County is accepting applications for the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO). This leadership role oversees all county financial operations, including budgeting, accounting and fiscal planning, to ensure the responsible stewardship of public funds.

“Hiring this role comes at an important moment for Dunn County,” said Jenalee Nutter, Assistant County Manager and Human Resources Director. “The person stepping in as our CFO will join a newer leadership team that’s focused, engaged and ready to make meaningful progress together.”

The qualifications include:

Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of eight years of finance or accounting experience.

Or a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field and a minimum of four years of finance or accounting experience.

Two years of experience in at least three of the following areas:

- Working in governmental finance and accounting, including knowledge of fund accounting, government reporting requirements, and public sector financial management practices

- Advising executive leadership and governing bodies on financial strategy and long-term fiscal planning

- Leading complex projects or initiatives involving cross-departmental collaboration

- Contributing to or overseeing policy development, implementation and enforcement

- Presenting financial results, forecasts, and recommendations in a way that informs decision-making

The salary range is $108,493 to $142,293 annually, depending on qualifications. Dunn County also offers an excellent benefits package, including health and dental insurance, participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System, paid time off, and other benefits to support employees and their families.
