March 31, 2023.    Eighty-seven candidates have been invited to answer questions about their positions on the issues provided by the League of Women Voters-Greater Chippewa Valley and upload their replies directly onto Vote411.org.  They are running for Town and Village Boards in Dunn, Eau Claire, and Chippewa Counties; School Board in the Districts of Eau Claire, Menomonie, Boyceville, Elmwood, and Durand-Arkansaw; and City Council in the municipalities of Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, Altoona, and Eau Claire.

Voters in the area may go to Vote411.org 24/7, type in their address, and find information about their candidates, including responses to these questions.  Candidates are still in the process of responding.  Their direct upload to Vote411.org retains their voice to the replies and assures them of control of their answers.

Co-president of League of Women Voters-Greater Chippewa Valley Annemarie McClellan notes, “This year for the first time we are excited to offer Vote411.org to candidates for positions in towns and villages.  Our goal is that as more candidates upload their answers, voters can easily find out information about the candidates before they go to the polls. We hope to make the process smoother and more time-sensitive every election!”
