Police are investigating an active shooting at Abundant Life Christian School on Buckeye Road in Madison. The police department has announced that three of the victims have died, though other media are reporting four or five deaths, and five injured. Currently police are stating that the correct number of deaths is three. This story is in flux and will be updated.
The shooter is one of the dead from the incident and was a student at the school. The police held a press conference which is attached, and the police will hold another press conference at 2:30. All of the students are now out of the school. When the police responded to the scene all Madison schools were placed on lockdown. Police did not fire their weapons and the shooter has apparently shot himself.

The shooter was a student at the school and is deceased.
At this time, three people have died as a result of the shooting, including the suspect.
At least seven others are injuried. Their injuries range from minor to life-threatening.

The Madison Police Department is investigating a shooting at Abundant Life Christian School.
Multiple injuries have been reported. This remains an active and ongoing investigaiton. More information will be released as it is available.
We currently need people to avoid the area.
Roads will be blocked off along 4900 Buckeye Road. Drivers and community members are asked to find alternate routes in travel is needed in this area.
In the 2:30 PM press conference, the police clarified that there were only 3 deaths, not the 5 that were previously reported. The people killed were the shooter, a teacher, and a teenage student at the school. There are two people in critical condition in the hospital. Officials are currently re-uniting students and parents at the Dean Clinic. Police are still asking people to avoid the area of the shooting. The weapon used was a 9mm handgun. The FBI is on the site and federal officials are attempting to trace the weapon used.
In an early-evening press conference, police announced that the shooter was a 17-year-old female student at the school. According to authorities, the attack was planned in advance. Another press conference is scheduled for 9:30 PM, at which time more information about the shooter may be available.
