Voters will elect a new Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice for a 10 year term on April 7, 2026, and local voters will have a chance for a preview visit with the two candidates who have already announced.

Chris Taylor, Judge of the Court of Appeals, District IV, Madison, will be available on Saturday, Dec. 6 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at Harvey Hall Theater on the UW-Stout campus, 721 Third St. E., Menomonie.

Maria Lazar, Judge of the Court of Appeals, District II, Waukesha, will be available on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, from 5 to 6:30 p.m., at Harvey Hall Theater on the UW-Stout Campus, 721 Third St., E, Menomonie.

If further candidates announce, they will be invited to interview as well.

Sponsors are the League of Women Voters – Greater Chippewa Valley, the Menard Center for the Study of Institutions and Innovation at UW-Stout, Community Conversations of Northwest Wisconsin, and League of Women Voters – St. Croix Valley Chapter.

Both events will be livestreamed by Eye on Dunn County.
