Repairs to the HVAC and dehumidification equipment at Hobbs Ice Arena are nearly complete.   At this time, we anticipate that it will be possible for organized group hockey games to resume on January 9, 2021.  Hobbs Ice Arena staff have been in communication with teams and users in preparation of the start of play.

Hobbs Ice Arena staff, team organizers, and the Eau Claire City-County Health Department are working together to create safety guidelines for play that are in keeping with the Health Department’s COVID-19 Prevention and Control Community Health Expectations.  Players and team staff will follow health safety guidelines including mask wearing, physical distancing on entrance and exit, and the expectation that if a person has any symptoms of illness they will not attend.  Youth hockey parents will be allowed to help with their children’s dressing for game or practice but at this time, spectators will not be permitted. Officials will continue to monitor the spread of coronavirus in our community and spectators may be allowed in the future.
