In this press conference this afternoon Governor Evers asked the Legislature to come together to make changes to make the April 7 election safer by allowing absentee ballots to be counted if they are postmarked by the election date, rather than arriving on the election date. He also called for more time for election clerks to count the absentee ballots rather than requiring they all be counted on election night. Additionally, the governor is requesting that absentee ballots be sent to all registered voters.

Five additional deaths were reported today, all ranging between 60 and 80 years in age. The reports will continue to increase since the infections being counted now are from contact before the recent extra precautions were added on contact within the state.

The DHS COVID-19 webpage will now contain additional information about cases.
