An Evening With Dave Simonett

Dave Simonett has spent almost two decades as the lead singer, guitar player and songwriter for the widely popular and beloved roots band, Tramped By Turtles. He also fronts Dead Man Winter, a bull-bodied, emotionally resonant brand of Americana-infused indie rock band. He now boldly steps forward with a shining collection of new solo material for the first time under his own name called Red Tail. While Dead Man Winter's Furnace was a much-needed cathartic experience for Simonett during a dark time, he is not connecting these songs on Red Tail to his own life as he prefers to allow listeners to develop their own interpretations. The conversational and poetic style in which Simonett writes lends itself to this perfectly, inspired by the spacious and stark Northern woods of Minnesota, where he's from. Drawing from the outdoors, Simonett uses light, weather and imagery to paint introspective, cinematic scenes that are easy to lose yourself in.

Silent Signs of Fascism

**SILENT SIGNS OF FASCISM PROTEST**

**EVERY 2ND SATURDAY OF THE MONTH**

We will be holding our silent Signs of Fascism protest on the

second Saturday of each month. Upcoming protests: Nov 8 & Dec 13. We will continue into the new year, as well.

We need at least 20 participants to hold the **Signs of Fascism** posters. All others are encouraged to hold American flags. Please wear black (or dark colors) to create a strong visual impact.

To maximize visibility, we'll gather as far east as Burger King and

spread out west from there.

We'll continue to hold our regular protests every other Saturday morning.

We hope you'll join us for this powerful and meaningful protest.

Remember..... We, the People, can do great things when we stand together!

Humbird: Musician in Residence

HUMBIRD: MUSICIAN IN RESIDENCE

FRI, 14 NOV 2025 at 07:00PM CST
Doors Open: 06:00PM

OnSale: Fri, 5 Sep 2025 at 10:00AM CDT
Announcement: Tue, 2 Sep 2025 at 10:00AM CDT

Humbird & Friends present
'Backyard Fairytales' live at Pablo's Robert Manz Gibson Street Entry Space

This November, Humbird and a select group of local musicians and improvisers will resurrect Backyard Fairytales, an ad hoc series that combines the performance of ancient folklore with colorful soundscapes and improvised melodies. Explored with cultural respect and dark whimsy, these stories will offer wisdom, connection, and magic for hard times, and can help us to imagine who we want to be in a world we get to create. It is an all-ages approach, while embracing uncertainty and mysteries that move in the dark.

Humbird & friends began doing these performances in 2020, in over 100 backyards, gardens, barns, campfires, and eventually even a planetarium. The performances feature stripped-down versions of Humbird's original songs, bookending a seasonal tale where whims and adventure unfold. While these shows will be very different from Humbird's touring act, it is all part of the same endeavor: to use music and stories as star maps to move through the unknown beauty and hardships of our lives. Tickets on sale now for Nov. 7th, 14th, and 21st.
