Many citizens spoke in favor of the Asian Pacific Islander resolution. One citizen spoke against.

A. Proposed Resolution condemning violence against the Asian Pacific Islander American community – discussion and possible resolution adoption - resolution was passed.

A. Proposed 2021A Bonds – discussion and possible resolution adoptions

* Initial Resolution of the City of Menomonie, Wisconsin Relating to the Issuance of General Obligation Bonds in an Amount Not to Exceed $1,515,000 for the City’s 2021-2022 Street Improvement Program This resolution was passed unanimously.

* Initial Resolution of the City of Menomonie, Wisconsin Relating to the Issuance of General Obligation Bonds in an Amount Not to Exceed $190,000 for Parks and Public Grounds Improvements - Passed Unanimously

* Initial Resolution of the City of Menomonie, Wisconsin Relating to the Issuance of General Obligation Bonds in an Amount Not to Exceed $620,000 for the Acquisition of a Fire Engine - Passed unanimously

* Initial Resolution Providing for the Issuance and Sale of General Obligation Refunding Bonds in the Approximate Amount of $975,000 of the City of Menomonie, Wisconsin - Passed Unanimously

* Resolution Providing for the Issuance and Sale of General Obligation Corporate Purpose Bonds, Series 2021A, of the City of Menomonie, Wisconsin - Passed Unanimously

B. Proposed 2021B Promissory Notes - discussion and possible resolution adoption

* Resolution Providing for the Issuance and Sale of General Obligation Promissory Notes, Series 2021B, of the City of Menomonie, Wisconsin - 

C. Concept presentation regarding the relocation of STH 29 from Main Street to 6th Avenue – discussion and possible motion of action - The purpose of this proposal is to move some of the Highway traffic off of Main St. to 6th Avenue. This would probably take two years to implement and would require some road upgrades by the city.

D. Proposed Solid Waste fees for bulk item disposal process and fee schedule – discussion and possible motion approving City of Menomonie 800 Wilson Ave 3 rd Floor – South Wing proposal is to put in a facility to take in bulky items like sofas, etc. now that the county has closed their facility. This was passed and will be done for a trial period.

E. 21st Street East (Middle School to CTH J) reconstruction bids – discussion and possible motion of award - passed unanimously.

F. Appointments to various Boards and Commissions including the Airport, Board of Review, Board of Zoning, Community Development, Historic Preservation, Parking Utility, and Tourism Commission – discussion and possible motions of appointments

G. Budget Transfers

7. Mayor’s Report - Menomonie will be a bird city again this year.

Music over Menomin is on for this summer. 

All of the facilities in the industrial park are now filled.

A. Normal license list - passed with the exception of a no vote from councilperson Ryland on the Red Cedar Racing license.

B. Request by Tom & Jo’s Inc. (dba Tom & Jo’s Bar) to surrender a Class “B” beer and “Class B” liquor license pending issuance to: TJ Tavern LLC. (dba Tom N Jo’s Bar) at 1401 Tainter Street. Discussion and possible motion approving. -  approved by voice vote.
