A. Recommendation of appointment for the Director of Public Works position –
discussion and possible motion of appointment
David Schofield was appointed by the city council as Director of Public Works unanimously.
B. Repeal and recreation of Title 1, Chapter 5 Charter ordinance amendment
relating to Ward Boundaries and Elections – discussion and possible
ordinance adoption
Polling locations will no longer be listed in the ordinance but determined by the council before each election - this is to avoid the problems that occurred in the last census that made the timeline for polling locations placement very difficult. The old ordinance was dropped and the new law was approved.
C. Proposed Level B hazardous materials agreement with Dunn County –
discussion and possible motion approving
This is an update of the 1993 agreement - there will now be a graduated fee scale to cover equipment and other costs. This agreement was passed.
D. Appointments to various Boards and commissions including the Urban
Forestry Board – discussion and possible motion approving - the three appointments were re-approved for another term.
E. Budget Transfers
7. Mayor’s Report - the Wolske Bay ribbon-cutting was very successful and used all of the hot chocolate and hot dogs.
Discussions about expanding Project Hope to a state-wide level continue.
Monday Jan. 16 there will be a public hearing on the new proposed coffee shop next to Culvers.
Christmas tree pickup starts Jan. 9th and there is a dropoff point at Wakanda Park.

A. Normal license list - There were no licenses to approve.

Steve is a member of LION Publishers , the Wisconsin Newspaper Association, the Menomonie Area Chamber of Commerce, and the Local Media Consortium, is active in Health Dunn Right, and is vice-president of the League of Women Voters of the Greater Chippewa Valley
