LLC adjacent to Eagle Point Road from Agriculture (A) District to General Industrial (I-3)

a. See 3A above – discussion and possible ordinance adoption

The ordinance was adopted by voice vote.

6. New Business

a. Review of the 2024 water, wastewater, solid waste, and storm water utility operating budgets
– discussion and possible motion approving

The water budget has increased due to a need to replace a well and a pump, both of which are expensive purchases.

The water utility budget was approved unanimously.

The wastewater utility budget was approved unanimously.

The solid waste and storm water budgets were also approved unanimously.

b. Review of the 2024 Tax Increment District operating budgets – discussion and possible motions approving

The TID district operating budgets were all approved unanimously.

c. Review of the 2023-2024 Construction Fund capital budget – discussion and possible
motions amending

This budget was also approved unanimously. 

d. Proposed Master Agreement for Professional Services with Cedar Corporation – discussion
and possible action

This is a non-exclusive agreement with Cedar Corporation. It was approved by voice vote. 

e. Proposed appointment of Jayme Schindler to the City Treasurer/Comptroller Position –
discussion and possible motion approving

She has been an employee for years in the city government and is taking over the empty position of City Treasurer/Comptroller 

She was confirmed into the position unanimously. 

f. Proposed easement release for August Lane CSM – discussion and possible action

These are utility easements that were approved by voice vote.

g. Proposed resolution supporting the submission of an application to the Wisconsin Economic
Development Corporation (WisEDC) Community Development Investment (CDI) Grant
Program by TWD Enterprises, LLC for 614 Main Street - discussion and possible action

This is a resolution to support an economic redevelopment of the old Lakeside Lounge building to have a possible restaurant and apartments. The hope is that this will be a nicer quality restaurant in the building eventually. The resolution was approved by voice vote. 

h. Special Event request from the Menomonie Area Chamber & Visitor Center for a Community
Light Show in Wakanda Park – discussion and possible motion approving.

This was approved by voice vote. 

7. Budget Transfers

Budget transfers were approved unanimously

8. Mayor’s Report

The mayor reminds you of the Winter Daze Parade Thursday.

The lights have been turned on on Wolske Bay

The Rassbach Museum lighting is Saturday. 

9. Communications and Miscellaneous Business

The Christmas Miracle rink by the library is being re-negotiated and the space will in the future be used for summer events.
