We now know more about a deadly water accident in Barron County. The following was released by Sheriff Chris Fitzgerald: Saturday, November 9, 2024, at approximately 12:35 p.m., the Barron County 911 Center received multiple 911 calls of subjects screaming for help on Kirby Lake in Maple Plain Township. It was discovered there were two subjects were in the water from overturned kayaks and a 17-year old male had not resurfaced.
