There are charges against a Waukesha County mom who police say left her 12-year-old on the side of the interstate. Waukesha County’s D.A. this week filed child abandonment and child neglect charges against 43-year-old Flor Escalante. Investigators say she kicked her 12-year-old son out of her car earlier this month because they got into a fight over his grades. Prosecutors say Escalante told investigators that the boy doesn’t appreciate everything that she does for him. The sheriff’s office says the 12-year-old walked from I-94 near Calhoun to the Sylvan Learning Center in Brookfield after he was kicked-out of the car.
