2. Approval of Minutes

The minutes were approved.
3. Public Comments

There were no public comments.


4. New Business
   a. Resolution 2025-07, a Resolution Declaring Official Intent to Reimburse Expenditures for the
Well #9 Project – discussion and possible action.

The intention is to have a plan to re-imburse for the costs for Well #9 and to take out an advantageous loan.


   b. Police Department Sale of Tasers and Related Equipment – discussion and possible action.

The current tasers are being replaced with newer models. The tasers will be sold for approximately $5000. This is not a public sale. 


   c. Special Event Requests – discussion and possible action:


      i. Music Over Menomin concerts, Lakeside Park, June 12, June 19, June 26, July 3, July, July 17, July 24 and July 31, 2025.

These may be held at Lakeside Park and may be held elsewhere.  The concerts were approved. 
      ii. 4th of July Celebration, Wakanda Park, July 4, 2025.

The festivities this year will focus on the beach area. There will be beer tent and a beer garden. The police department needs more details on how the sales and access to the beer tent will be required for final approval. The event was passed contingent on a detailed plan.  


      iii. Pride Picnic, Wilson Park, July 8, 2025

The date is incorrect - it will actually take place on June 8.  The permit was approved. 


      iv. Dunn County Fair, 17th Street East, July 23-27, 2025.

The permit was approved. The street will be closed between 5th Ave. and Main St. 


      v. Donaldson Company Picnic, Wakanda Park, August 17, 2025.

This permit was approved. 
      vi. Dunn County Humane Society Walk for Paws, Wakanda Park, October 12, 2025.

This permit was approved. 


   d. Mayoral Appointments to Boards and Commissions – discussion and possible action:
      i. Parking Utility - Ann Vogl (3-year term to December 2027)
      ii. Plan Commission - Lowell Prange (replacement, 2-year term to April 2027)


      iii. Tourism Commission
         1. Kat Wagner (1 year term to April 2026)
         2. Amanda Pickerign-Yaeger (fill vacancy, 1 year term to April 2026)

All of the appointments to the boards and commissions were approved. 


5. Budget Transfers

There were none.
6. Mayor’s Report

The mayor commented that many people were fishing at Wolske Bay.


7. Communications and Miscellaneous Business

Gretchen Yonko commented on having had good interactions with the police department.

Ryland Erdman mentioned that many of the parking meters downtown are not working and that the payment app is also not working.

Comments were made on the statistics regarding drunk driving, and suggestions were made to extend the hours of Dunn County Transit to cover bar hours. A poll was done on Facebook. This may be considered in the budget.

Other comments were made about the state of some of the houses in town that could use some rehabbing. The mayor suggested that there may be funds available for refurbishing homes. There is already a list of nuisance properties.

There is a new courtesy dock near well #8 and the Wisconsin sign. The trail has been cleared up somewhat but is still steep and a little difficult.
 


8. Claims

The amended claims list was approved unanimously. 


9. Licenses
   a. Normal license list – discussion and possible action.

The license list was approved. 


10. Adjourn - The meeting was adjourned at 7:22 PM.
