Bock Fest at Zymurgy Brewing Company - February 22nd

Doppelbocks are a perfect lager for a winter beer fest. Unlike it's springtime counterpart Maibock, the Doopelbock is high in ABV with a caramel malt backbone, sure to warm you from the inside out!

Join us for a splendid celebration with FOUR YEARS of Zymurnator Doppelbock taking over our taplines. Try each year side by side to compare how the lager ages, and let the brewer poke your beer with the firebrand beer caramelizer for an added taste sensation.

ALL YOU CAN DRINK DOPPELBOCKS from 1pm to 3pm with purchase of $50 wristband.

*** The first 8 participants receive a complimentary Zymurnator collectible! Grab your ticket at the link provided to secure your complimentary Zymurnator glass (while supplies last). There will also be wristbands available for cash at the door during the event.

If "All You Can Drink" is not your speed, we will Zymurnator tap & vertical flight deals from open to close (no ticket purchase necessary).

Must be 21 to enter & enjoy Zymurgy Bockfest.

Stay tuned for more details.

Bernie married Jacqueline Spaulding on Oct. 12th, 1957 and had 3 children; Tony (Liz) Cummings, Dawn Smitson, and Mickey (Sue) Cummings. He had many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bernie moved back from California in 1995 to Norman, Indiana and shortly thereafter met his Love, Kay Burchett. They were together for over 23 years until she passed in November of 2020.

Before he retired, he worked as a Master Mechanic and machinist. In his spare time he trained horses, and loved working on old cars.  Bernie was an avid lover of County Western Music and dressed the part! He was easily recognizable by his cowboy boots, his cowboy hat and his big belt buckles. His favorite pastime was visiting several of the area senior centers so he could connect with his many friends through good country western music and couples dancing. This is where he met his special friend and dance partner Phyllis Barlow. They chummed around frequently and enjoyed each other’s company. Her family adopted him as their own and he loved them greatly.

Because of his failing health, and need for support, Bernie moved to Wisconsin to be near his son Mickey and his wife Sue. He spoke often of his love for all those he left behind in Indiana.

Bernie’s family is holding their own private service. Per Bernie’s wishes, his ashes will be scattered on his son’s land in Wheeler, WI.

Bernie believed and held onto the promise that when he passed away, he would go to heaven. He said that the Bible read, that whosoever believes, will be saved.
