Dunn County encourages residents to bring their clean mixed rigid plastics to the Transfer Station for free recycling!
New Minimum Scale Fee
A new minimum scale fee of $20 and a $65/ton tipping fee will be implemented at the Dunn County Transfer Station & Recycling Center effective January 1st, 2020. If a scale transaction totals less than $20, the customer will be charged $20 for the load. If the scale transaction totals more than $20, the customer will pay the actual amount based on total weight, without any additional fees.
Solid Waste Permits
Dunn County Solid Waste & Recycling reminds all residents to display the 2020 Solid Waste Permit on the vehicle windshield beginning January 1, 2020. If the permit is not displayed, residents will be charged $3 per bag or barrel of household trash. Solid Waste permits are required when disposing of household trash only. Household trash includes items that are disposed of in an indoor trash receptacle on a regularly occurring basis. Items such as carpeting, flooring, cabinetry, drywall, toilets and lumber fall into the category of construction and demolition wastes and incur a fee. Renters who live in participating municipalities should contact the Dunn County Solid Waste and Recycling office to obtain their permit by phone at 715-232-4017 or by email at [email protected].
