The Wisconsin Supreme Court Tuesday ordered that Dane County Clerk Scott McDonald cannot advise all voters they could qualify as indefinitely confined because of the state’s “Safer at Home” emergency order. In Sunday's Wisconsin Election Commission call the commission declined to start an investigation into the Dane and Milwaukee Count clerks who had advised voters that if they could not find a way to upload Voter ID for the purposes of absentee voting they could declare themselves indefinitely confined. Indefinitely confined voters do not need to provide ID to request a ballot. McDonald had a Facebook post advising voters to do this to avoid having to send Voter ID to their clerks. The court ordered that he has to remove the post.
