The School District of the Menomonie Area board will hold a special meeting at 6:30 on Wednesday in the Menomonie High School to re-consider requiring masks for all students in K-12 education in the district. There may also be a consideration of bringing contact tracing for the shools back into the school district rather than the Dunn County Public Health Department.

C. Agenda Order and Approval/Revisions
D. Community Communications
II. ACTION AGENDA
A. Action to Update the SDMA COVID-19 Plan
The board passsed the change to the COVID-19 plan.
B. Action to Approve Indoor Masking Order
The board voted 5-4 to amend that masking order to recommend the use of face coverings rather than strongly suggest. This essentially makes the new policy not much different from the old one. Masks will be optional and up to the parents of the students even if the new masking order passes.
After some discussion Supt. Zydowsky recommended the board table the new masking plan indefinitely since it is no longer a masking plan at all, and have the policy revert to the previous optional masking policy. The board voted unanimously to table the new masking policy, so the previously voted policy applies.
III. ADJOURNMENT
A. Action to Adjourn
This agenda is posted at the Menomonie Area School District Administrative Services Center, and on the district website at www.sdmanonline.com under the School Board link
