Over 40 dragons are landing in downtown Menomonie this week! Starting Thursday, August 1st, pick up an entry form at any participating business and start your hunt to find as many dragons as possible by the end of August.
Once you find at least 25 dragons, add your information to the back of the booklet and return it to the Downtown Menomonie office, Dragon Tale Books, or C&J's Candy Store & Scoop Shoppe Menomonie to be entered to win downtown gift certificates.

You may note that news posts are a little sparse for the next few days. I (your intrepid editor) am in Chicago that the Lion Local News Sustainability Summit. Sustainability is tough in the local news business and I'm trying to learn more about how to survive financially. So far this has been a great experience and I'm looking forward to the rest of the conference. I'll be back in the saddle on Monday. At the moment I'm in a session about news for the next generation. It is an interesting topic, particularly as we are trying to have more younger readers.
