Monthly 45-60 minute presentation on an astronomical subject. This month's topic: Stellar Showers to Dinosaur Woes: Exploring Earth's History of Cosmic Collisions. Presenter: CVAS member Mike Brown. There is no cost, donations are accepted.

It's estimated that 48.5 tons of meteoritic material falls on Earth daily. From the dazzling beauty of stellar showers to the catastrophic impact that led to the demise of the dinosaurs, discover how meteor showers, asteroid impacts, and other cosmic encounters have left their mark on our planet, shaping landscapes, influencing climate, and even altering the course of life's evolution.

Real space rocks (meteorites) will be available to view.

If the skies are clear, then following the program (until about 11pm), the telescopes in the domes will be available for viewing astronomical objects!
