A woman and three teenagers are the suspects in what Wisconsin conservation police are calling a poaching ring. The state’s Department of Natural Resources says the four killed more than 100 deer in Fond du Lac, Dodge, and Washington counties between the spring of 2023 and July of this year. Prosecutors in Fond du Lac County are handling the case. Investigators say the four took selfies with the deer they shot, and even made videos that chronicled their illegal hunts. In addition to the deer, investigators say the poaching ring also ‘harassed’ geese, raccoons, possums, turtles, and other animals.
