On October 24, 2024, around 12:15 p.m., the Eau Claire Police Department responded to an incident unfolding outside an apartment complex in the 4600 block of Kappus Drive in the city of Eau Claire. The Eau Claire Communications Center received a report that a man threatened someone with a knife and held it to their throat. The victim was able to flee and the suspect, identified as Mohamed Iman, 39 of Eau Claire, barricaded himself inside his residence.
