An arctic bast greeted the annual Winter Daze festivities in Menomonie last night. The crowd was smaller than usual but enthusiastic for the events before the parade (free hot chocolate, live reindeer, barbershop quartet singing, food trucks, and more). Many more people showed up to watch the colorful parade, which featured some beautiful and creative floats.
I braved the cold temperatures and caught some video of the parade and events, feeling grateful that the new video camera worked well in the weather.

We have picked a new website name. The best suggestion in the contest was Eye On Dunn --- We are going to adopt that, though we will formally use Eye On Dunn County as the name. When we are done with the implementation we will live at eyeondunn.com and eyeondunn.news. More on this soon. The changeover will take a while but you can expect the branding and URL changes to take place by the end of the month.
