The book sale will take place in the library meeting room.
The Friends give thousands of dollars to the library every year and book sales are their major fundraiser. Plan to come on over and find some great treasures at amazing prices. See you at the sale!

Join us for a night of time travel through dance music!

DJ Jake Rudh of 'The Current' on MPR and award winning DJ will spin music from the 1950's through the 2010's for you to dance all night, or sit back and groove to, and projected music videos will bringing each era to life.

Come dressed in anything from these era's, whether it's a 50's poodle skirt, 60's mod, 70's disco, to 80's prep or 80's goth, to jeans and flannel 90's grunge style ... we will have class photo's by decade!

Do you need something fixed? Buttons sewn on? A broken lamp? If you have something that can be fixed, bring it to the Rassbach Museum between 1-4 p.m. on March 29, and you can work with a volunteer as they show you how to fix your item.

Volunteers will do their best to help you fix your item, or let you know what further steps to take.

Items are not to be dropped off and picked up at a later time -- this is an opportunity for you to learn skills, and meet folks in your community!

Volunteer fixers needed! -- If you're a fixer of small appliances, clothing, bikes, computers, toys and other items. Volunteer your time and skill for our community. Orientation is at the museum on March 13 (details to follow or call us at 715-232-8685 ).

The Book:
It takes years to learn the art of seeing, of expecting to see nature's gifts. In Soul of the Outdoors, Dave Greschner passes that art along. He tells how little that chickadee at the feeder weighs, how tree buds survive in winter, how far a fisher leaps, and what the six blobs of shadows are on the creek bed below a water strider. He traces the cycle of seasons, immersing us in spring hikes to the marshes of emerging frogs and returning birds, summer's coolness along the trout stream, a forgotten apple tree in autumn, and a full moon snowshoe hike in winter. With humor and heart, Soul of the Outdoors treks along the trails of one's outdoor adventures and, ultimately, the trails of our lives.​

About the Author:
DAVE GRESCHNER is an an award-winning outdoor writer and columnist. He served as the sports/outdoors editor at the Rice Lake Chronotype in northwest Wisconsin for over forty years, where he won twenty Wisconsin Newspaper Association first-place awards. Soul of the Outdoors​ is his first book.​
