Connection and conversation are healthy practices! With everything going on in the world, the JONAH Voices United Task Force would like to invite you to a coffee hour to connect, share your feelings, and find shared values. A guided structure will be provided to ensure safety, support, and productivity.
Come learn the art of no sew, no iron, folded fabric quilted ornaments. These cherished ornaments are made from cotton fabric and can be made and gifted year round. Traditionally, given around the holidays. They also can be made using a loved ones article of clothing to always have a cherished memory of them.
During this class you will complete one ornament. There will be multiple colors and prints to choose from. You will also leave with an instruction sheet to recreate the process on your own to be able to make many more. Additional kits will also be available for purchase.
Cost of class is $25. Includes hands on learning, guidance, and tips. Class is offered multiple times.

Who is JONAH?
Since 2007, JONAH has been working with people, agencies and organizations to help make our communities healthier, safer and better places for everyone to live and work. We believe that our work is about building community and building capacity to address root causes of poverty and injustice. We come together for this important and public work because when every one person does better, everyone does better.
JONAH is intentionally non-partisan, and known for organizing public conversations about things that matter to people that are both civic and civil. Historically, JONAH has scored successes or sought significant change to our criminal justice system, recycling practices, predatory payday lending, and many aspects of faithful economics. We seek continually to forge new and strengthen relationships with existing public structures like schools, government, public health, and labor.
We are an interfaith organization welcoming all people to come to justice work because of their faith values (not religious), and part of a larger statewide and national network of groups doing faith-based community organizing. Quiet your soul. Breathe in peace. Find stillness in a season of noise and hurry.
The time leading up to the birth of Jesus coincides with the shortest days of the year in the northern hemisphere. The Earth is encouraging us to rest and reflect, to build internal energy and strength in order to prepare for the year ahead.
Come join us for a Silent Night version of Yoga Church - a calm and centering practice with candles, meditation, Bible readings, special music and refreshments.
This candlelight practice will be held at Unity Spiritual Center in their beautiful Yoga space, led by Lucinda Kemmet and Bryan Willkom.

It's our annual Festivus Dan Kasper show coming to you live from the VFW Post 305!
We'll be airing our sports grievances and C-Bomb and Surveyor Sam will be battling it for the Feats of Strength championship!
VFW will be running a $1 domestic mug special and $2 craft mugs during the show (6a-10a) and their breakfast special is two eggs corned beef hash and toast for $11.50.

Acu Meridi-Yin Yoga is Yin yoga combined with acupressure. Yin is a gentle practice focused on holding poses for a longer period of time targeting connective tissues like ligaments, tendons, and fascia. This promotes improved circulation which can decrease inflammation within the body. Applying gentle pressure along the meridians of the body while in certain poses offers deep healing while bringing balance to the body's energy flow (Qi). This practice reduces stress & promotes healing.

Sean Jordan is an acoustic/electric guitar player and singer-songwriter from Black River Falls, WI. He performs a wide variety of covers ranging from John Mayer, Stevie Ray, John Prine, and Bob Seger, to acoustic takes on pop tunes. Expect to hear a mix of pop, blues and folk.
Sean, a graduate of Berklee College of Music with a degree in guitar performance is influenced by the likes of Stevie Ray, Clapton, John Mayer and Jimi Hendrix.

MD FUND COLLECTION-Sustaining our Community
During our Solstice and Christmas Eve services we ask for donations to fund the UUC Minister's Discretionary (MD) Fund. Rev. Lepp often works with people on accessing community resources that are set up for assistance. However, there are times when there is little or no funding available for an individual. On those occasions, Rev. Lepp can access the MD Fund. MD Funds can be used to help members who make a personal request to Rev. Lepp. In the past, this Fund has helped with emergency gas money, taxi vouchers, utility bills, and rental assistance for our members. MD Funds can also be used to fund non-member requests. Whether this request is by an individual that comes to UUC for help, or another organization that makes a request on their behalf, the MD fund makes it possible for UUC to supply bus tokens, gas cards, gift cards for basic necessities, and grocery cards. https://uueauclaire.churchcenter.com/giving

Grace & León are a mix of subtlety and strength, as Grace has a softer, more soulful voice and León has a stronger, jazzy voice. The two voices complement each other perfectly. They are based in Spain and Wisconsin. Their written songs have not been recorded but you can listen to one of León's other jazz bands- La Causa Swing on Spotify.
