Background

The government shutdown is beginning to affect residents of Dunn County. People on Wisconsin Foodshare will receive delayed benefits for November, and it is not certain when those payments will resume, leaving many people in the position of having trouble feeding their families. Note that for the time being the WIC program will continue through the shutdown.

If you are facing difficulty with food insecurity, many resources in Dunn County can help. Health Dunn Right has a resource guide for community resources. It includes places you can go for help in obtaining food along with many other resources for people who need assistance.

If you are fortunate enough to not need assistance at the moment, we'd like to suggest that you consider donating to Stepping Stones, Bridge to Hope, or any of the other support organizations listed in the guide. We are a community - let's get through  this together.
