One of the topics of conversation in this week's Menomonie School Board meeting was making the board's activities more transparent. We started video taping the school board meetings because of some issues of transparency raised by some of our readers. The school board is currently considering multiple ways that the board can make its activities clearer to the Menomonie citizens.

The video attached here is the portion of the last meeting that discusses different ways the activities could be shared. What do you think? Would you like to see agendas or minutes from the meetings mailed out to the public? Is there more information you would like from the school board? Do you have any other ideas on how the board can make their activities clearer to residents?

Are the videos of the school board useful? Would you like to see us make video or audio of other local government meetings available? If you would like to see more of this work, or you would like to see the current work continue, please consider becoming a member of WisCommunity and making a small yearly contribution to support us.
