As discussed with the SDMA Board of Education at the December 13, 2021 meeting as part of the Environmental Site Report, bidding for a timber sale was scheduled to occur during the 2021-2022 school year in alignment with the SDMA Environmental Site Timeline of Projects.

 

  • Harvest area of approximately 28 acres
    • Area #1(Outlined in red on map): 21 acres - Intermediate thinning
    • Area #2 (Outlined in blue on map): 7 acres - Species removal (clearcut)
  • Estimated Volume of 400 cords red pine (small portion of white pine commingled)

 

Bids for the timber sale have been received and following a review, it is recommended that the Board select the high bid from Byers Forestry at this time.

VI. CLOSED SESSION

A. Action to move into closed session, for the purpose of deliberating or negotiating the purchasing of public properties, the investing of public funds, or conducting other specified public business, whenever competitive or bargaining reasons require a closed session, pursuant to Section 19.85(1)(e), Wisconsin Statutes.

B. Approve Closed Session Minutes of January 24, 2022 and March 28, 2022

C. Discuss Terms of the Transportation Contract for 2022-2023
