Today's numbers of COVID-19 cases in the state paint a grim picture. Both the number of new COVID-19 cases and the percentage of tests that were positive have hit new records. 22.39% of the tests reported by DHS were positive, and the raw number of positive cases was 2817. 7 new deaths were reported in today's numbers. 528 are currently in the hospital for COVID, which is also a new record.

In Dunn County, 26 new positive cases were reported by the state today, which Is very high and will likely cause difficulty for contact tracers in the county. There are still no deaths reported in Dunn County,  but we have now reached 1112 cases per 100,000 in population,

These numbers continue to be concerning and indicate a quickly-rising number of infections in the state. Please follow the guidelines to stop spreading the disease. Wear masks in public places, particularly indoors. Avoid large crowds. Avoid bars and restaurants. Wash your hands frequently.

Update - the number of cases per 100,000 population in Dunn County has been corrected.
